Outdoor skills training in Nova Scotia
Welcome to the outdoor education section of our website.  Here you will find workshops and programs that are open to anyone and are designed to provide essential knowledge and develop skills necessary for those interested in spending time in the wilderness.  

These programs are for the most part, held entirely outdoors and are taught in a very "hands on" manner.  Participants will find these programs to be exciting and very rewarding.  Please select the courses from the dropdown menu from the main Outdoor Education link above.

Outdoor Skills (general)
Outdoor Safety
Outdoor Food Prep
Map & Compass Wilderness Navigation
GPS Use
Introduction to Ocean Kayaking (basic, non paddle canada)
Wilderness Survival
WRFA - Wilderness and Remote First Aid (Red Cross)

Prior to attendance, participants will be provided with a complete list of necessary items to bring, start and end times, exact location, map and driving directions and estimated travel times from Halifax.  All courses are held within 20-40 minutes drive from Halifax downtown.
