Outdoor Safety – 2 to 8 hours
This program can be taught entirely outdoors or indoors or a combination of both.  The indoor component can be taught in a classroom at your school or office  in 2-3 hours.  It is preferable to include the outdoor component so that students get a hands on understanding of the topics covered.   There are various locations available depending on the group size.  We are happy to tailor this program to suit your location.

It is designed to provide people who spend any time outdoors and would like to be properly prepared to avoid the dangerous situations people find themselves in all too often.

Topics covered in this program include:

·         Weather forecasts
·         Animals
·         Walking in the woods
·         Intro to maps and compass
·         Natural signs of Navigation
·         Lightening
·         Hypothermia
·         Hyperthermia
·         Cuts & minor injuries
·         Filing a trip plan
·         Signalling for help
