Well, for anyone with the slightest sense of adventure Winter Hiking is AWESOME!  The scenery is totally different and equally as picturesque as in the summer, there are no bugs, there are great animal tracks to find and identify and you will ultimately learn more about being properly prepared for the wilderness.

Let us take your group on an exciting winter hike along snow-covered bluffs, tralis that follow frozen waterfalls, running brooks and crashing ocean waves.  We promise you’ll have more fun than you’ve ever imagined. 

Winter hiking in Nova Scotia is by no means a new activity, for the most part our climate allows for great winter hiking opportunities with light (or none) coastal snow cover, moderate temperatures, clear skies and breathtaking scenery and wildlife. 

Our Winter Hiking tours are all ½ day trips and include the following:

Fully certified and properly equipped Kattuk Expeditions’ wilderness guides, 1:9 ratio·         1/2 day coastal or wooded hike  
Water and granola bar during hike    
Delicious gourmet hot chocolate

Preparatiopn:  Preparation for this tour is important, once you book we will email you a specific list of items guests should bring coordinated with the event day weather forcast.
