McNab's Island Evening & Sunset Kayak Tour

3 - 4 hours, departs daily from Fisherman's Cove

$75 per person + hst

To say the sunsets at McNab's Island are spectacular is an understatement.  Join us all summer long for scheduled tours to the shores of McNab's Island.  Starting from Fisherman's Cove, we'll paddle to Lawlor's Island and then to Wreck Cove on McNab's for a short hike up to Fort McNab National Historic Site where we'll make a delicious chocolate fondue with fresh fruit.  The view of the harbour and open ocean is astounding. We return to our kayaks and paddle back to the cove in the twilight.  See beaches, forests, seals, osprey, eagles, seabirds, historic fortifications and more.  This tour includes all necessary equipment and instruction by Paddle Canada certified guides. We require 24 hour advance booking notice.  This tour requires a minimum of 4 people to operate.  A portion of the tour cost will be donated to the Friends of McNab's Island Society.

McNab's Island Morning Kayak Tour

4 - 4.5 hours, departs daily from Fisherman's Cove

$95 per person + hst

It's amazing what you can see in just a short time at McNab's Island provincial park.  This guided adventure includes, guides, instruction, all necessary equipment, paddling protected waters from Fisherman's Cove to Lawlor and McNab's Islands, a short hike to Fort McNab National Historic Site, local pastries and fresh fruit, and espresso.  See beaches, forests, seals, osprey, eagles, seabirds, historic fortifications and more.  This tour includes all necessary equipment and instruction by Paddle Canada certified guides.  We require 24 hour advance booking notice.

Dover Island Kayak Tour with Fire Cooked Dinner & Sunset

4 - 5 hours, departs daily

$165.00 per person + hst - upgrade to lobster for an additional $30 per person

Imagine paddling around coastal islands, fishing coves and quiet inlets to end up at a beautiful island beach for a feast of local seafood cooked over a driftwood and cedar fire while you watch the sun begin to set.  This adventure is one for the senses.  The tour starts at Shaw's Landing in West Dover en route to Peggy's Cove.  This tour includes all necessary equipment and instruction by Paddle Canada certified guides. We require 24 hour advance booking notice.  A portion of the tour cost will be donated to the Peggy's Cove area preservation association.

Prices are in Canadian dollars. This tour requires a minimum of 4 guests booked to operate. Complimentary transportation available for up to 10 people. Transportation is approximately 45 minutes from downtown Halifax.

100 Wild Islands Kayak Tour with Lobster Roll Lunch

8 hours, 9am - 5pm, departs daily

$225 per person + hst

In co-operation with the Nova Scotia Nature Trust, we are excited to offer a guided sea kayaking day tour of one of the 100 wild islands.  These islands are dotted with rocky coves and expansive white sand beaches over crystal clear waters.  All instruction, equipment, guidance and a delicious lobster lunch is included.  We'll spend the morning portion of the trip exploring the coves and inlets and arrive at a large white sandy beach for a guided walk of the island with interpretation of the 100 wild islands preservation area.  The afternoon portion of the trip will visit additional picturesque areas of the island.  Routes will vary based on wind and water conditions.  A portion of the tour cost is donated to the Nova Scotia Nature Trust.

Overnight Coastal Sea Kayak Tour

Noon day 1 - noon day 2, Dates - July 22-23, July 29-30, August 12-13, August 19-20

$295 per person + hst

This overnight coastal kayaking expedition begins and ends in Lower Prospect, Nova Scotia which is just 45 minutes from downtown Halifax.  The trip begins just after lunch on day 1 when Kattuk guides provide instruction and **equipment and assist with properly packing your kayak for the journey.  After paddling though channels and coves, we'll arrive at a beautiful wild island's sandy beach and set up camp for the night.  A short guided hike of the island is included and we will discuss flora and fauna and admire panoramic views of the coast and inner islands. A delicious dinner is included after which you can enjoy a guided sunset tour or just relax on the beach or granite hilltop. If time and conditions permit, your guides will end the evening with a beach bonfire and star gazing.  The morning includes a healthy breakfast and guided return paddle to our starting point.  A portion of the tour cost goes directly to the NSNT's efforts preserving Rogues Roost preservation area. https://nsnt.ca/our-work/campaigns-and-projects/project/rogues-roost/
