The Kattuk approach

A personal connection
to the wild.

Kattuk Expeditions is a locally owned Halifax company bringing together outdoor professionals with a love of sharing remarkable places. From Sable Island and Cape Breton to Iceland, our journeys combine small groups, knowledgeable guides and time to look a little closer.

We have guided visitors to Sable Island National Park Reserve since 2017. As a Parks Canada licensed tour company, we work with Parks Canada and the Sable Island Institute to help guests understand the island and travel with care.

Care for place & community

Our connection goes beyond the visit.

Supporting Sable Island

Our Sable Island trips contribute funding to the Sable Island Institute. We also support its fundraising and research work, connecting the visitor experience with a deeper understanding of the island.

Opening the outdoors to others

Community efforts have included Bikes For the Bay and equipment drives supporting Laing House’s outdoor program. We value opportunities to help more people experience the outdoors.

Shared values. Strong connections.

Our partners & affiliations.

The organizations and people we work with connect our journeys to conservation, photography and Nova Scotian hospitality.
